The "bistro ufem chilehügel" in Church District Nine, Altstetten location, has been run as a project of the church district and thus as a diaconal-oriented operation since 2023. The church sees itself as a host for people of all ages and life situations.
In the bistro, we live an open and warm welcome culture and create a lively place of encounter. The heart of the operation is the popular lunch offer, which is prepared and delivered by the social services of the Christ Centre. The offer is complemented by a child-friendly indoor and outdoor area where families are welcome all day. The opening hours in the morning, afternoon, evening, and partly on weekends create diverse opportunities for diaconal, social, and community-promoting activities.
For the bistro operation, we are looking for you immediately or by arrangement, limited until 31 December 2028,

Service and Guest Support Staff (30–40%) or Service and Guest Support Relief Staff on an Hourly Wage (max. 20%)

Your Tasks

• Host at the "bistro ufem chilehügel"
• Active participation in the daily service operation with daily responsibility
• Collaboration with volunteers and employees requiring support
• Implementation and accompaniment of events outside opening hours

Your Profile

• Ideally experience in gastronomy and/or event sector, preferably in a social or non-profit environment
• High motivation and identification with the bistro concept with the church as host, as well as an open attitude towards activities of the Reformed Church
• Service-oriented and communicative personality with organisational talent and heart
• Independence, flexibility, and an eye for detail
