The Road District Inspectorate Wattwil is responsible for the structural and operational maintenance of 132 km of cantonal roads.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an immediate or agreed start date for a
Road Maintenance Employee (m/f/d)
Workload: 100%
Workplace: Wattwil
What to expect
- Focus on marking, signalling, operation, and construction
- Maintenance and construction work on roads and smaller civil engineering structures as well as drainage
- Operational maintenance work such as road markings, green area care, cleaning work, etc.
- Snow clearance and ice control
- On-call duties during winter service and in case of accidents
What distinguishes you
- Completed training as a specialist in operational maintenance – specialising in workshop services, or a completed manual vocational training in the main construction trade or equivalent professional experience in a comparable activity
- Independent, physically resilient personality with an efficient working style
- Team player, collegial and helpful
- Driving licence category B, BE (ideally category C or CE or willingness to obtain it)
- Ability to reach the workshop within 25 minutes
- Willingness to work outside regular hours
