The Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences has been offered at the University of Fribourg since 2006. For the planning and coordination of the BMS programme, as well as for student advising, the Medicine section is looking for a coordinator.
The coordinator is integrated into the Med-Office of the Medicine section and is supported by the secretariat. He or she works under the responsibility of the chairperson of the Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences study commission.

Your tasks
- Coordination and planning of the Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences programme:
- Ensure the administrative and scientific follow-up of the BMS study commission
- Plan and organise the study programme with various internal and external partners
- Ensure documentation and communication between the different programme stakeholders
- Student advising:
- Conduct information sessions and provide individual advice, including to prospective students.
- Pedagogical development and support:
- Advise and guide the heads of teaching units as well as the teachers.
Desired profile
- Doctorate in a natural sciences field, preferably in biomedicine or life sciences
- Pedagogical training and teaching experience
- Good understanding of the competency-based approach and formative approaches
- Experience in organising and planning university teaching
- Autonomous, rigorous and structured working style
- Ability to integrate into a team, with leadership and communication skills
- German and/or French, with very good knowledge of the other language (bilingual work)
- Proficiency in English is required
