Technical Clerk / Management Support

The Care & Security (C&S) department of the Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) ensures a safe, orderly and legally compliant daily routine and thus makes a significant contribution to the operation of the institution.

We are looking for a committed and responsible individual as Technical Clerk / Management Support 80–100% from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement. The position is limited until the end of 2028.

In this role, you will support the department particularly in the planning, coordination and implementation of organisational, technical and security-related tasks and projects.

In this role, you will support the department particularly in the planning, coordination and implementation of organisational, technical and security-related tasks and projects.

This is what you will achieve with us

• You manage and maintain security-relevant systems and applications and ensure their reliable operation
• You carefully and appropriately manage user accounts, roles, permissions and master data
• With evaluations and data checks, you ensure data quality and take care of error correction
• You keep system and process documentation up to date and comprehensible
• You support the planning and implementation of inspections, actions, exercises and events
• In day-to-day operations, you relieve management and the team and contribute to smooth service operations
• In case of short-term need, you provide technical and organisational support
• You train employees in handling security-relevant applications and devices and assist them with questions

• Completed vocational training, ideally in a technical or craft field
• Very good MS Office skills, especially advanced Excel skills (mandatory)
• Technical flair and enjoyment in working with various systems and applications
• Independent, reliable and structured way of working
• Manual dexterity and willingness to pitch in yourself
• Quick comprehension, interconnected thinking and a solution-oriented approach
• Calmness and overview even in demanding situations
• Flexibility and willingness to work night shifts when required
• Impeccable reputation with no entries in debt enforcement and criminal records

The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe and the largest closed institution for men in Switzerland. With around 400 detention places and about 300 employees, it contributes according to legal mandate to the protection of the public and at the same time creates the conditions for the reintegration of the detained persons.

As employees of the Pöschwies Correctional Facility, we operate in an environment of high public interest. We work interdisciplinarily and ensure structured and responsible care of the detained persons.

With around 1400 employees, Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is the largest office within the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as for the execution of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of offenders and are committed effectively and progressively to a safe and just society.
