Managing Director Rheintal Inland Canal Company (RBK)

The Rheintal Inland Canal Company association is responsible for the maintenance, flood protection and revitalisation measures on the approximately 23 km long Rheintal Inland Canal on behalf of twelve municipalities. The comprehensive flood protection project is well advanced and approaching implementation. Our current managing director is taking on a new challenge.

Therefore, we are looking for a

Managing Director (100%)

for the association from 1 September 2026 or by arrangement.

In this responsible position, you report directly to the President (Ralph Lehner, Diepoldsau).

• Overall operational management (organisation, administration, finance, infrastructure)
• Responsibility for business management matters including finance and accounting (budget, annual financial statements, investment accounting)
• Support, implementation and operation of the Rheintal Inland Canal flood protection project
• Planning of ongoing projects of the Inland Canal Company
• Measures to optimise maintenance of the RBK
• Control tasks
• Coordination in exceptional situations during floods and inundation events (emergency protection concept)
• Public relations and networking

• Technical background with higher education qualification in construction, environment or spatial planning
• Experience in project management, project leadership and construction management
• Analytical thinking, quick recognition of complex interrelationships and rapid comprehension
• Service orientation, initiative, resilience and assertiveness
• Communication skills with various contacts and appropriate negotiation skills
• High self-discipline and self-responsibility
