Parzival rises, level by level
Schwyz Last night, the Kollegitheater celebrated its premiere in a fully packed auditorium. The knight's play about Parzival has everything one expects from the Kollegitheater. Tangible enjoyment of acting, a lot of wit, music, dance, and this time also numerous fight scenes.

game who they want to be: ranger, warrior, amazon, or healer?
And off they go, rising as avatars to the castle - which from the beginning forms the dominant backdrop - and observing little Parzival playing in his well-protected world.
This is cleverly done, because
Parzival is a knight's play, a fantasy computer game: The avatars not only provide the framework in this piece, they are also Parzival's protectors and help the audience follow the
action with leaps.
Parzival, the fool, matures
Parzival, the hero, starts as a little coward, as a fool, as a court jester. He learns quickly, becomes famous, matures, and finds himself. Thus, he rises level by level.
The typical energy of the Kollegitheater jumps to the audience. It is a pleasure to watch Parzival and his surroundings. Many funny ideas make the
audience laugh. Over 30 players act on stage. This creates great images in front of the castle backdrop. The dance and fight scenes are a blast. The duration - it lasts an hour and a half until the
break - is not really noticeable. There is always something happening, quick scene and costume changes provide entertainment.
Director and production manager
Klaus Opilik has this time relied on alumni for the development. The composition of the music comes from Ramon
Kündig, the choreography from Bettina Zumstein, Jonathan Prelicz and Sarah Zeller took care of the vocal coaching, and
Michael Ruegg, who plays Parzival wonderfully, was responsible for the fight choreography. The stage design was created by
Nadja Müller. The audience enjoyed the
premiere. They laughed a lot and gave long-lasting applause.
