YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Support of vehicle projects from the perspective of acoustic compliance (concept, design, construction, type testing)
- Evaluation and formulation of acoustic requirements / preparing offers according to budget and competitiveness
- Responsibility for coordination with suppliers to enforce requirements for noise-relevant components
- Collection of relevant vehicle information useful as input for acoustic prediction
- Definition of acoustic test specifications to demonstrate vehicle compliance.
- Planning, coordination and execution of acoustic tests on site.
- Contribution to the transformation of acoustic prediction results into improvements of the implementable vehicle
- Development of proposals for optimisation
- Creation and assessment of system concepts based on external and internal requirements
- Development of proposals for optimisation
- Conducting acoustic simulations
- Provision of recommendations and advice for acoustic solutions
- Creation, updating and communication of design guidelines
- Creation and assessment of system concepts based on external and internal requirements
- Responsible for airborne and structure-borne noise development/validation measurement campaigns
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed BSc/MSc education with a focus on acoustics in one of the following areas: automotive, aerospace, railway
- Knowledge of the main acoustic simulation frameworks with associated limitations
- Knowledge of a CAD platform, preferably Catia, as well as knowledge of Wave6 is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within the scope of validation or fault measurement campaigns
- Can-do attitude with above-average communication skills
- Proven German and English skills in spoken and written form (min. B2)
- Optional programming experience (e.g. Matlab, Python or Julia)
- Presentation, communication and reporting skills in English and German
- Very good team skills
- Social competence, high commitment and intercultural mindset
