Right in the middle of Zurich, between the Limmat, Lake Zurich, and Bahnhofstrasse, the Metropol is located in a historic neo-baroque building. Modern Japanese cuisine, lively service, large events, and many guests with high expectations shape everyday life. Between coffee cups, dinner plates, busy terraces, and big evenings, a working day arises that is as diverse as the city itself.

As part of our service team, you will actively support the daily restaurant operations and gain valuable practical experience in upscale gastronomy. With a friendly and professional demeanour, our guests are greeted, cared for, and welcomed from the very first moment. Tasks include preparing the stations, carefully serving food and drinks, as well as assisting with banquets and events.

Mise en place is also an important part of the daily routine and contributes to a smooth service process. During the internship, you will learn the procedures of a professional gastronomy operation. Close collaboration with service, kitchen, and event teams allows you to continuously develop hosting skills and gain valuable experience for your professional future.

Enjoyment in interacting with people and an interest in gaining first or further experience in service form the ideal foundation for this position. A friendly, open personality as well as a well-groomed appearance are prerequisites.

Reliability, willingness to learn, and the ability to keep an overview even in busy situations characterise suitable applicants. Team spirit, commitment, and a positive attitude make the collaboration especially valuable. Good German skills are an advantage; additional language skills are welcome.

The internship is limited to 6 months but can optionally be extended.
