About the job
Christian School Bern is a private elementary school. We value trusting relationships and a positive learning environment and guide the students towards independent learning. Parents are involved in the school and are part of the educational process. Together, we discover and develop the potential of the children.
At the start of the school year in August 2026, we are looking for a Co-Class Teacher Kindergarten (30%)
Your tasks
You will lead our kindergarten class together with the current co-class teacher and organize two kindergarten mornings (Tue and Fri). You accompany the children individually, experience with them the start of kindergarten daily life, and promote their natural joy of learning and discovery. In addition to the sessions in the kindergarten room, you conduct the forest morning, organize special events in collaboration with the lower grade teachers, and support the children in the transition to the first grade. If desired, you can supplement your workload by teaching Creatio lessons (cross-grade, mostly artistic or sports subjects).
Your profile
You have a teaching qualification for kindergarten or as a primary school teacher (Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Primary and Primary Education). However, we are also happy to receive your application if you do not (yet) have this degree. The Christian faith is your personal foundation of life, and you can identify with the values of our school. You are motivated to invest in the children and in the further development of our school. You enjoy working in a team and are good at building a good relationship with children and parents.
We offer
- an exciting role with high personal responsibility
- a versatile and varied activity in a lively and dynamic environment
- a committed team with a lot of passion and a collegial team culture
- a respectful and supportive working atmosphere
