The Einsiedeln Monastery has been the home and living place of the Benedictine community for over 1,000 years, as well as a place of encounter for pilgrims, guests and visitors from all over the world. To preserve this special place, our internal workshops are responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and further development of the historic buildings and properties. They plan and implement construction measures and thus make an important contribution to the long-term preservation of the monastery and its values. All work is carried out in close cooperation with the heritage conservation authorities.

For our workshop team we are looking for a motivated professional from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement as

Bricklayer EFZ

Your tasks

• Bricklaying work in building and civil engineering on the properties of Einsiedeln Monastery and other external locations
• Participation in the renovation and maintenance of historic building fabric
• Plastering work indoors and outdoors
• Erecting scaffolding for various tasks
• Maintenance work on roads, paths, squares and water bodies
• Support with seasonal tasks such as winter services and other varied duties

Your profile

• Completed training as a Bricklayer EFZ
• Professional experience is an advantage; motivated career starters are also welcome
• Interest in traditional crafts and historic buildings
• Good German skills (at least level B1) and a category B driving licence
• Independent, reliable and team-oriented working style
• Physical resilience, flexibility and enjoyment of varied tasks
