Your tasks

• Development of interfaces in Java for our core banking system Olympic
• Analysis of existing COBOL applications and migration of business logic to Java
• Development and provision of API endpoints for various business requirements
• Maintenance and further development of existing in-house developments
• Application of secure development practices and promotion of test automation
• Close collaboration with the business departments to clarify requirements and validate results
• Technical documentation of interfaces and migrated business logic

Your profile

• Completed training or studies in computer science (HF/FH/University) or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in developing reliable and sustainable software solutions
• Precise, detail-oriented working style with high quality standards as well as sound knowledge of clean code and common design patterns
• High quality standards in software development and interest in continuous optimisation of solutions and processes
• Experience with Azure, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab, Azure DevOps) is an advantage
• Knowledge of COBOL, RPG or CL as well as basic knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) or IBM z/OS is an advantage
• Very good German or English skills (level C1/C2)

Your first six months with us

We are rebuilding our infrastructure for the core banking system. Together with your colleagues, you will analyse existing in-house developments – mostly in Cobol – and understand their logic. You will rewrite these natively in Java for the target system. You will be supported by external experts and document your solutions appropriately for the target audience.
