Your tasks
- Initial care, monitoring and nursing care of emergency patients of all ages in the central emergency department and the integrated paediatric emergency care
- Conducting structured initial assessment (triage) according to applicable standards
- Care of acutely ill and injured patients including initiation of life-saving immediate measures
- Performing diagnostic measures such as ECG recordings, blood sampling, point-of-care diagnostics and insertion of peripheral venous cannulas
- Assistance with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as minor surgical measures
- Professional wound care as well as application of support, splint and plaster bandages
- Monitoring and stabilising patients on monitor stations as well as in the admission ward
- Age-appropriate nursing care of children and adolescents taking into account their special needs
- Compassionate support, advice and assistance to our patients, parents and relatives in acute and crisis situations
- Administrative patient admission as well as digital documentation in the hospital information system
- Close interdisciplinary cooperation with all specialist departments as well as the medical service
- Participation in the continuous development of emergency care and quality assurance measures
- Support in the induction of new employees as well as guidance of trainees and interns
- Care of patients in the attached admission ward
Your profile
- Completed training as a registered nurse (nurse), health and nursing professional or paediatric nurse
- Ideally professional experience in emergency nursing or paediatrics
- Specialist training in emergency nursing or willingness to undertake it
- High professional, social and communicative competence
- Resilience, organisational skills and sense of responsibility
- Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team
- Empathetic approach to patients and relatives of all ages
- Willingness to work shifts
