The EOC, the multi-site hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory with a total of 1,000 beds. The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, ensuring the population a comprehensive and local hospital service, regardless of where the services are required. Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 employees and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.

Profile
The Swiss civil service is performed as a substitute by those who, for reasons of conscience, cannot fulfil military obligations. The duration of service performed by civil servants is one and a half times that of military service. Civil servants fulfil their service obligation in more than 4,000 recognised employment institutions, providing work of public interest.
