Product & Category Manager 80-100% (m/f/d)
Here you will be bubbling with enthusiasm:
- Overall responsibility for defined product categories (e.g., aperitif, rum, liqueurs, and vodka)
- Sales, volume, and profit responsibility for the managed categories
- Development and implementation of category and assortment strategy
- Responsibility for pricing, margin control, promotion, and campaign planning
- Forecasting, budgeting, and ongoing performance and KPI monitoring
- Management of new launches, delistings, and portfolio clean-ups
- Market, competitor, and trend analyses to identify growth potentials
- Close collaboration with sales, key account management, marketing, and purchasing
- Maintenance and expansion of relationships with exclusive producers and brand partners
- Negotiation of terms, annual agreements, and assortment lists
- Active interface to the national and international beverage industry
This is what you have in your assortment:
- Completed commercial training or studies (business administration, marketing, or similar)
- Experience with or passion for spirits
- Several years of professional experience in product, category, or brand management, ideally in the beverage sector
- Proven experience with sales and profit responsibility
- Good analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong numerical understanding (contribution margins, margins, promotion mechanics)
- Confident in negotiation, structured, and decisive
- Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and hands-on mentality
- Very good German skills, good English skills; French or Italian an advantage
- Confident handling of MS Office; experience with ERP or BI systems an advantage
- Willingness to travel for about four trade fairs per year
