SUPAA Mobile Team Nurse - West
The University Service of Psychiatry for the Advanced Age (SUPAA) is looking for a nurse at an 80% activity rate to join the Mobile Psychiatry Team for the Advanced Age (EMPAA) of the Western Vaud Psychiatry Centre. The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026 or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital Centre (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
SUPAA is a specialised service tasked with ensuring care, teaching and research in the field of psychiatry for the elderly. This mandate is entrusted to it by the Department of Health and Social Action.
The EMPAA of SUPAA West is located at the Nyon polyclinic; it provides consultations and care in the living environment to best meet the needs of the population aged 65 and over and the partners of the care network.
Mission
- You provide preventive, curative, palliative and educational nursing care to patients over 65 years old suffering from psychiatric and somatic disorders, in crisis or pre-crisis situations
- You carry out a nursing clinical assessment of mental state or a co-clinical assessment of situations and follow-up in the living environment (home or nursing home), integrating the requirements of interdisciplinary and network work into your daily practice
- You participate in the analysis of clinical situations and initiate or restore psychiatric care
- You ensure proper information and quality reception of the family or relatives of the patients cared for
- You intervene at the request of the attending physician or care teams of institutions and invest yourself in knowledge transfer.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Red Cross
- You have a practising authorisation in the Canton of Vaud or have submitted an application to the Vaud Public Health Service
- You have professional experience in a multidisciplinary team
- You demonstrate autonomy, flexibility and proactivity
- You show good adaptability
- You have good composure in psychiatric or somatic emergency situations
- You are proficient in French
- You have good knowledge of computer tools.
