About the job
At the Institute for Production and Supply Chain Management (PSCM-HSG) of the University of St.Gallen (HSG), we combine excellent research with close collaboration with leading industrial companies. As an intern, you will dedicatedly support our team in an Innosuisse Flagship Project "ZeroPol" in the field of sustainability and circular economy of the plastics industry in Switzerland.
About us
The PSCM-HSG researches and develops future-oriented solutions for production and supply chain issues in industry, combining scientific excellence with a strong practical focus.
Within the framework of the Innosuisse Flagship Project, we work together with leading Swiss industrial companies and research partners on the transformation towards a circular economy in the plastics industry - from analysing existing value chains to developing sustainable business models.
Your tasks
- Collaboration in the Innosuisse Flagship Project on circular economy and sustainability in the Swiss plastics industry - from research and data collection to result preparation
- Conducting market, competition and customer analyses as well as supporting the development of business cases
- Preparation, support and follow-up of workshops and meetings with industry partners and research partners of the project
- Creation of presentations, project documents and result reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support in operational project management (structuring work packages, scheduling, tracking tasks)
Presence on site in St.Gallen is a prerequisite to enable close collaboration within the team.
Your profile
Professional
- Enrolled student, preferably at Master’s level; motivated Bachelor students are also welcome
- Interest in sustainability, circular economy and/or environmental topics, as well as project management
- Initial experience in survey design and evaluation, report creation and/or website design is an advantage
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, as well as confident use of MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)

- High initiative, structured and reliable working style
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanour in contact with internal and external stakeholders
- Openness to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics and contribute your own ideas
