Compliance is the central function for questions related to correct and integral behavior in the cantonal administration of the Canton of Zurich. Directly subordinated to the government council, it ensures that the principles of the code of conduct as well as the related instructions and regulations are adhered to. The Compliance Officer advises, provides guidance, answers inquiries, conducts training, and supports projects that further establish the compliance culture throughout the Canton of Zurich.
To strengthen our small, highly specialized team, we are looking for an experienced assistant who convinces with organizational talent, digital understanding, as well as strong self-motivation and a service-oriented attitude.
The position is initially limited to two years – due to growing areas of responsibility, there are possibilities for continued employment.
Your tasks:
- Support in all tasks of the Compliance Officer of the Canton of Zurich, as a cross-sectional function in the entire cantonal administration
- Independent scheduling and coordination of meetings, training sessions, and other events
- Responsible digital filing, document management, and especially handling inquiries on compliance topics
- Creation of meaningful presentations, reports, and other materials to support the Compliance Officer
- Coordination and communication with all directorates and offices as well as external partners
- Support in conducting training sessions, workshops, and other events
- Participation in projects and initiatives, including planning and implementation
Your profile:
- Completed commercial training as well as further education at the specialist certificate level
- Several years of experience in a comparable function, ideally in compliance, risk management, audit, legal, or similar areas in a large company
- Strong digital understanding and proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and Outlook
- Independent, reliable, and very precise working style
- Organizational strength and confident communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written German language skills are a must; English language skills are an advantage
