About the job
with the Social Action Service, Asylum Office, Sion transitional structure
The Social Action Service includes the Social Benefits Coordination Office, the Coordination Office for Disability Issues, and the Asylum Office.
Your tasks
- You manage case files and provide individualised social follow-up for the referrals assigned to you, and you write the necessary reports and documents
- You assess the needs of beneficiaries and support them in their social and administrative procedures, promoting their autonomy and self-determination
- You implement case management aimed at supporting their training pathway and their social and professional integration
- You coordinate interventions with partners in the social, medical, educational, and training networks
Your profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work (SEFRI recognition for foreign diplomas); a practitioner trainer diploma would be an asset
- You have a good knowledge of the asylum system, social insurances, and the application standards of social assistance directives and norms
- You have excellent adaptability, listening, and communication skills, as well as a strong aptitude for teamwork
- You have a sense of responsibility, organisation, and good analytical skills in complex situations
- Native French speaker
- Knowledge of other languages would be an asset
Start date - Special conditions
- Start date: 1 November or to be agreed
- Fixed-term contract: the contract duration is linked to variations in the number of people the canton is obliged to accommodate under the federal asylum law
