Designer (m/f/d, 60%)

The family business HCH. KÜNDIG & CIE. AG, based in Rüti ZH, has existed for over 150 years and currently employs around 60 staff. Since 1972, the specialised department KÜNDIG CONTROL SYSTEMS has been developing and manufacturing measuring and control devices for blown film extrusion. Thanks to continuous technological advances through in-house developments, the company has become the world’s leading manufacturer in this field.

You will support our development team in the design of our thickness and width measuring systems and act as the link between development and production in all mechanical matters. You will design test equipment and fixtures, train assembly staff, and ensure that our series products remain up to date. The position is particularly suitable for those returning to work or professionals who wish to pursue further education alongside their job.

Your profile

• Training as a designer EFZ, polymechanic EFZ or comparable technical basic education
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault desirable
• Understanding of manufacturing and enjoyment of practical work between office and workshop
• Communicative nature: you enjoy explaining technical contexts also in productionIndependent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Enjoyment of teamwork and agile methods (Scrum)Good knowledge of German

Your tasks

• Support of the development team in the design of our thickness and width measuring systems
• Design of test equipment, gauges and fixtures for assembly and testing
• Creation of assembly instructions and conducting training in assembly
• Maintenance of series products: drawings, parts lists and change management in design
• Contact person for production on mechanical questions, link between development and production
• Collaboration on prototypes and their transfer into series production

• A development team of around eleven people working according to Scrum, with dailies, reviews and genuine scope for design
