An IP Intelligence & Communication Manager with the global leader in the creation of Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrance & Beauty, an important member of our Global Patents team, and based in our Zug or Kemptthal office in Switzerland - Your future position?

As an 'Intellectual Property (IP) Intelligence Manager' and an important member of our Global Patents team, you will assist the IP Department to enhance business understanding of intellectual property and its role in value-creation.
You will manage a coherent approach and format for reporting and communicating IP matters across our organisation. You will oversee the management of IP Department procedures, utilising digital tools to improve data accessibility and link IP Department activities with the company's commercial performance. You will assist our patent attorneys with patent landscaping, benchmarking, and other diligence activities to connect business and intellectual property strategies.
The role is open to be based in our Zug or Kemptthal offices in Switzerland and report directly to the Group Head of Global Patents. The role offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.

In this exciting role, you will -
- Build and maintain dashboards visualising key performance metrics of Givaudan's patent portfolio.
- Conduct searches using databases and other tools to analyse the patent landscape and identify trends, opportunities and threats.
- Prepare reports, summaries and insights for internal use within the IP Department, as well as to educate and inform the wider Givaudan community.
- Collaborate with IP attorneys, Science & Technology groups and the wider stakeholder community to support patent portfolio management, as well as broader strategic IP initiatives.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments and tools for patent searching and streamlining IP Department workflows.
- Utilise AI-related tools to synthesise data into clear insights and recommendations for connecting IP and business strategies.
- Manage content for the IP Department channel on Givaudan's digital hub, including IP highlights, patent trends and inventor stories.
- Develop and organise IP training, events or workshops together with Patent Attorneys to increase IP awareness and understanding of IP-related processes within the organisation.
- Support of the consolidation, documentation and implementation of IP strategies and processes
You?
Your professional profile includes:
- An advanced degree, at least a master's level and preferably a PhD, in Life Sciences, ideally in Chemistry.
- Experience in the Fragrance, Flavour, or FMCG sectors.
- A good understanding of IP practice and strategy.
- Have a flair for strategic storytelling.
- Familiarity with communication platforms and social media tools.
- Data-visualisation skills.
- Proficiency in patent searching tools (e.g., PatBase, STN, Derwent, etc.).
- Experience with AI tools in patent search and analysis is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Comfortable working and collaborating with diverse teams and cultures.
