The Agriculture Department at the Office for Landscape and Nature implements Swiss agricultural policy in the canton of Zurich. Direct payments are a central component of agricultural policy and contribute to ensuring the supply of food, the maintenance of the cultural landscape, and the promotion of biodiversity.

Your tasks:

• You are responsible for changes of operators and farm recognitions in the direct payments area. For this, you review applications according to specified criteria and take over the registration of direct payment beneficiaries. You are in contact with applicants and provide information.
• You independently handle the landscape quality contributions and ensure correct implementation.
• You support enforcement in the direct payments area as needed according to current agricultural policy.
• You maintain close contact with the heads of municipal agricultural offices, regularly inform them, and provide training and further education.

Your profile:

• You have at least a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences or a comparable qualification
• You have knowledge of agricultural policy enforcement (direct payments)
• You are familiar with agricultural farm processes and production methods
• You are a team player, communicative, and enjoy interdisciplinary exchange
• You work independently, precisely, reliably, and service-oriented
