Job Description
Your mission:
You will ensure the monitoring of the operation of FER Geneva's buildings, as well as various tasks related to the installations and equipment of the buildings. You play an essential role in the daily smooth running of our infrastructures, undertaking varied tasks combining maintenance, technical support, and equipment management.
Main responsibilities:
- Monitor faults inherent to the buildings.
- Coordinate routine maintenance work (preventive) and repairs (curative).
- Supervise the services of contracting companies, control the quality of work, and accept completed works.
- Carry out periodic inspections of the works. Analyse malfunctions and propose remedies.
- Assist and occasionally replace colleagues in other tasks.
- Ensure the accuracy of FER Geneva's building plans and keep them constantly up to date.
- Manage the disposal of rubbish and waste.
- Run errands and handle external transport.
- Maintain regular on-call presence and respond to site interventions in case of technical alarms.
- Occasionally provide on-call duty service.
Profile sought
Qualifications:
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an Operations Agent or an equivalent qualification.
- You have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- You master building techniques as well as building safety regulations.
- You hold a category B driving licence for professional travel.
- You are familiar with safety standards as well as SIA norms.
Skills and competencies:
- Service orientation, availability and listening to internal needs, importance of service quality and well-being offered to clients.
- Ability to explain a technical situation simply.
- Collaboration with internal services and external providers.
- Basic technical versatility (basic electricity, minor plumbing, carpentry, locksmithing, painting).
