The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. The HR Expertise group is responsible for the development and implementation of strategically relevant HR topics such as recruiting, personnel marketing, care management, and global mobility.

Your mission with us at PSI

Recruitment coordination: You will accompany the recruitment process from the job posting to the acceptance or rejection and also take on the organizational coordination of kick-offs, interviews, and feedback sessions
Conducting interviews: You will conduct interviews with doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from different countries and disciplines, gaining in-depth insights into the international research environment
Job advertisements: Together with managers and the recruiting team, you will develop and publish job advertisements
Onboarding: You will actively participate in the PSI Welcome Day and help ensure that new employees have a good start with us
HR projects: You will actively work on HR projects and support the further development and optimization of HR processes

Your profile

You are enrolled in a (technical) university degree program in human resources, psychology, business administration, or a comparable course of study, or have recently completed it
Interest in independently conducting interviews is as important as openness, presence, and a good sense for people
You meet different personalities with respect, reflection, and curiosity
Communication in German and English comes easily to you
You are familiar with MS Office, and new digital tools and ways of working spark your interest rather than skepticism

The duration of the internship is 6 months with the possibility of extension for another 6 months.
