The Office for Agriculture and Geoinformation is a department of the Department of Economic Affairs and Social Affairs. It includes the four divisions Agricultural Measures, Structural Improvements, Surveying, and the GIS Competence Center.
The Agricultural Measures division is responsible for the implementation of agricultural legislation based on the federal agricultural policy.
In the area of Land/Ecology, you will perform tasks in the fields of biodiversity and landscape quality, support the further development of landscape quality and networking projects, and serve as a contact person for questions from agricultural businesses and external contractors.
We offer you a varied and responsible position in the cantonal administration. You will work in a competent and motivated team where a service- and goal-oriented corporate culture with short decision-making paths is cultivated.
We are looking for a motivated clerk for biodiversity and landscape quality (70%) for the Land/Ecology area in the Agricultural Measures division starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
- Participation in the implementation of direct payments to agriculture in the areas of biodiversity and landscape quality
- Providing information in response to questions from agricultural businesses
- Data entry as well as management of management contracts and billing of direct payments for agricultural and summering operations
- Support of daily tasks in the department, including technical tasks such as the use of GIS (ArcGIS)
- Support in the professional training and supervision of external contractors
- Support in the further development of internal processes in the areas of biodiversity and landscape quality, including their technical implementation
- Basic agricultural training with advanced specialist training (Agrotechnician FH) or completed training as a commercial clerk EFZ with an agricultural background or completed studies at a university of applied sciences in agronomy, environment, or similar fields
- Interest in the topics of biodiversity, networking, and landscape quality in the context of agriculture
- Strong team and communication skills and customer orientation
- Very good IT skills, basic flair for technical tasks (e.g., GIS, data preparation)
- Independence, accuracy, initiative, and organizational talent
- Reliability and high commitment
- Confident German language skills in spoken and written form; knowledge of other cantonal languages is an advantage
