Would you like to actively shape the financial management of our insurance business with sound financial analyses and innovative controlling solutions? Are you enthusiastic about understanding complex cost drivers, creating meaningful decision-making bases, and continuously developing financial processes through digitalisation and automation?

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will strengthen Zurich Switzerland's Finance team and take on a central role in cost controlling for our insurance and pension solutions. You analyse cost developments, are responsible for planning and forecasting processes, and support our reporting teams as well as product managers as a competent Finance Business Partner. With your analytical perspective and initiative, you create transparency, identify optimisation potentials, and make an important contribution to the efficient financial management of our business.

What to expect

• You analyse and comment on the monthly and quarterly cost developments of our insurance and pension products and prepare the results appropriately for the target audience.
• You are responsible for budgeting, medium-term financial planning, and regular forecasting of segment and product costs, analyse deviations, and derive concrete recommendations for action.
• You act as a Finance Business Partner for reporting teams and product managers, question cost drivers, and support well-founded financial decisions.
• You further develop meaningful reports, dashboards, and data-based analyses and drive the standardisation and automation of our controlling processes.
• You actively participate in cross-departmental projects and initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to improve our financial systems, data quality, and cost control.

What distinguishes you

• University of applied sciences or university degree in business administration, finance, controlling, or a comparable field; further qualifications are an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in financial controlling, financial planning & analysis, or cost management, ideally in the insurance or financial services environment
• Strong analytical skills, understanding of complex financial contexts, and the ability to translate numbers into understandable, decision-oriented recommendations
• Very good Excel skills, ideally experience with SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, or comparable reporting and planning solutions, as well as interest in automation and digital technologies
• Initiative, structured and solution-oriented working style, as well as strong communication skills in German and English
