Associate or Assistant Psychologist / Old Age Psychiatry Consultation

The University Service of Old Age Psychiatry (SUPAA) is seeking an associate or assistant psychologist for a role involving psychological and psychotherapeutic care within the general old age psychiatry consultation, with a workload between 40% - 50%.

Context

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.

Led by Professor Armin von Gunten, SUPAA is a specialised service tasked with ensuring care, teaching, and research in the field of psychiatry for the elderly. This mandate is entrusted to it by the Department of Health and Social Action.

Over its five decades of existence, SUPAA has diversified its structures and modes of intervention to continuously improve its clinical services, teaching, research, and the maintenance of optimal continuity of care. It has thus developed outpatient structures (General Old Age Psychiatry Consultation), a liaison consultation for old age psychiatry at CHUV and in nursing homes, as well as a mobile team and hospital structures.

Mission

• You provide psychological and psychotherapeutic services to patients in old age psychiatry. Your work involves conducting psychotherapeutic care, "specialised counselling" interviews, psychopathological assessments, as well as the associated administrative work.
• You collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in psychology recognised in Switzerland
• You have good integration and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
• You wish to obtain the federally recognised psychotherapist psychologist title
• Holding a specialist title in psychotherapy recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) would be an asset.
