REHAB Basel, Clinic for Neurorehabilitation and Paraplegiology, treats and rehabilitates patients with spinal cord injury, brain injury, and related conditions following accident or illness.

We support the people entrusted to us on their path to the greatest possible independence and optimal quality of life. To this end, we employ a wide range of therapy methods in an exceptionally designed clinic building. We provide treatment in the area of initial and follow-up rehabilitation up to social and professional integration.

For the Paraplegiology department, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist BSc. 90-100% on a fixed-term basis for one year (with the option of permanent employment) starting 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility

• Assessment of the sensory-motor, cognitive and affective abilities of patients and their impact on daily activities and participation
• Planning, implementation and evaluation of individual therapy
• Assessment, adjustment and organisation of wheelchairs, seat cushions, seating orthoses and splints
• Assessment, advice, adjustment and manufacture of aids for all areas of daily life
• Ensuring therapy quality through collaboration in interprofessional teamwork and team supervision
• Therapy documentation, assessment, progress (including video documentation), assessments, applications and justification for aids to insurance companies, discharge reports
• Instruction and advice for relatives/carers

Your profile

• Training as a qualified occupational therapist FH/HF/BSc
• Several years of professional experience
• Interest in neurotherapeutic concepts such as Affolter, Bobath, robotics
• MS Office skills
• Good knowledge of French, ideally also Italian
• High social competence
• Independence and sense of responsibility
• Loyalty and discretion
• Interest and willingness for interprofessional collaboration
• Empathy in dealing with people with TBI (traumatic brain injury) and their relatives/carers
