This is what you move
With dynamism and persuasiveness, you advocate for the interests of employees in the construction and finishing trades. You are daily at the pulse of events and in contact with people of diverse backgrounds. Thanks to your communication talent, you easily succeed in recruiting new members for the union, supporting and building company committees as well as groups. Your tasks include specifically addressing employees in the construction and trade sector, both in individual conversations and during fieldwork, and translating their concerns into a collective movement. You ensure information, advice, and support for members in the labor law context. As a union secretary, you enforce the interests of employees against their employers – through direct intervention, in commissions and committees, or in legal proceedings.
This is what you bring
- Completed vocational training or studies
- Strong communication skills in personal and group contact
- Experience in group leadership and moderation
- Identification with union goals
- Experience in political work in unions, company interest representation committees, associations, NGOs, social movements, and parties is an advantage
- Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work weekends and evenings
- Language skills in Italian, Portuguese, or another migration language are an advantage
- Driver's license category B
