About the job
The Fondation Beyeler is one of the internationally renowned and most visited museums in Switzerland. It is known worldwide for its high-calibre exhibitions, its significant collection of modern and contemporary art, as well as its diverse educational and event programme. In accordance with the wishes of its founders, it is particularly committed to conveying art to a broad audience and to young people. The extended ensemble with museum buildings by Renzo Piano and Peter Zumthor, as well as historic, carefully renovated buildings, is idyllically situated in a spacious park with old trees and water lily ponds. The unique location in the middle of a protected landscape area, the generous parkland, the light-flooded exhibition halls, and the diverse spaces for encounters and contemplation offer visitors varied art and nature experiences throughout the year.The Orangerie combines a shop with a small greenhouse. While visitors can discover plants in the greenhouse, they will find plants, design objects, utensils, and books about garden art in the Orangerie. At the coffee bar, we serve espresso, cappuccino, tea, and small snacks. To support our shop team, we are looking for temporary staff from early December 2026 to the end of May 2027

Your tasks
- You welcome our guests and ensure they feel comfortable and want to return.
- You enthusiastically and personally advise our national and international customers.
- You prepare coffee specialties, tea, and small snacks at our coffee bar.
- You present books, plants, design objects, and other products with great attention to detail.
- You take care of merchandise maintenance, the cash register, goods receipts, and the daily organisation of the shop.
Your profile
- You enjoy being a host and love welcoming people.
- You have experience in sales, hospitality, perhaps you are already a barista, or a florist.
- You are passionate about botany, design, art, and design and enjoy beautiful, carefully selected items.
- You have a sense for atmosphere and details and present products with love and care.
- You work independently, like to pitch in, and feel comfortable in a small team where everyone takes responsibility together.
- You have very good German skills as well as good English skills; knowledge of French is an advantage.
- You are flexible and willing to work on weekends or evenings.
