Tasks:
- plans and delivers appropriate, quality and ethically oriented services, personalising the intervention and managing the setting
- correctly completes patient documentation ensuring the completeness of clinical data within the nurse’s competence
- autonomous and responsible in the exercise of their function, consistently applies the current care model (integrated care) and uses the psychoeducational tools in use. Promotes and leads therapeutic and recreational groups
- recognises early signs and symptoms of crisis, intervenes according to the principles of effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness respecting the procedures in use
- builds, reactivates and organises the support network exercising a role of health advocacy
- actively collaborates with the various internal and external OSC teams using a cooperative, assertive approach aimed at mediation and conflict resolution
- assumes a mentoring role towards students on placement and newly hired staff collaborating with the assistant teacher
- keeps updated and actively participates in training events that contribute to the evolution of their function
Requirements:
- nurse diploma with specialisation (mental health) (salary class 5) or Bachelor in nursing or nurse diploma in general care with recognition issued by the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) (salary class 4) with registration in the national health professions register GesReg/NAREG:
- experience in the psychiatric field
- teamwork skills, critical thinking, creativity, proactive attitude, flexibility, empathy and interpersonal skills
- knowledge and experience in the national health system
- perfect knowledge of the Italian language (conversation and writing) and knowledge (conversation) of another official language and/or English
- availability to work irregular hours
- for holders of a Bachelor in nursing or a Diploma in general care nursing: obligation to specialise in mental health at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) within 4 years of employment according to the regulations and directives in force at the time of enrolment in the training course (DAS course fee borne by the Cantonal Sociopsychiatric Organisation (OSC) while the exam fee is borne by the employee). During this period, employment will be in the form of a contract (art. 15 and 16 LORD) convertible into appointment upon obtaining the qualification; failure to obtain it will result in definitive termination of the employment relationship

- depending on the needs for the indicated functions, candidates may be contacted for possible part-time/full-time and fixed-term or permanent employment
- the service location will vary depending on available positions

Employment conditions:
- appointment or contract: those provided for by the Law on the Organisation of State Employees and Teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organisation are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
