Job Description
We are looking for an R&D Technician (m/f/d) to strengthen the technical team of the Performance Polymer Division (PPD) at our production site in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland.
- Conducting polymerisations on a laboratory scale and formulating prototypes for adhesives and coatings
- Planning and conducting experiments as well as performing relevant application and analytical tests in the laboratory according to established procedures
- Documenting test results and maintaining the laboratory book – ensuring completeness and accuracy of all generated data
- Observing tests, failure modes and key events during testing
- Documenting and transferring data generated in the laboratory into electronic files
- Careful handling and training of test equipment
- Following standard operating procedures when operating equipment
- Adhering to safety regulations when handling materials and operating equipment
- Contributing to the cleanliness and order of the laboratory area and equipment as well as their proper functioning
Qualifications
- a completed vocational training, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
- ideally professional experience in an industrial laboratory
- solid knowledge in chemistry and/or testing of chemical products
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
- independent working, including time management
- experience in the synthesis and formulation of acrylic polymers is an advantage but not mandatory
- ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- knowledge of analytical techniques and methods for material characterisation
- ability to collaborate cross-functionally to define, coordinate and implement overall requirements
- good analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay Transparency Statement
The salary for this position is 59,290 – 94,864 CHF / year.
