Production Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you have the opportunity to operate process equipment and machines to convert raw materials or semi-finished products into components or finished parts for an end product – at the right time and in the required quality. You perform the tasks assigned to you daily according to the agreed workflows as well as ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and report any deviations. You also operate machines according to the operating manual, work plan and/or production order.
Work model: On site (Onsite)
This position supports the Electrification, Installation Products area in Uster.
Your main responsibilities
Carrying out routine machine setups, adjustments as well as repairs and replacement of simple wear parts.
Ensuring regular standard maintenance of the equipment, setting up tools, programming work as well as troubleshooting and reporting malfunctions; also keeping detailed records of setup processes, repairs and maintenance work.
Monitoring and documenting good parts, rejects and finished products.
Qualifications for the role
Completed training as a plastics technologist or toolmaker.
At least 5 years of practical experience in injection moulding and extrusion, including machine setup, start-up and troubleshooting production disruptions.
Experienced in setting up, adjusting and optimising injection moulding machines, tools, hot runner systems and process parameters.
Experience in sampling new injection moulding tools, conducting initial series runs and creating complete production and quality documentation.
Solid understanding of quality standards, safety and environmental regulations as well as practical application of 5S and structured process control.
High organisational skills, technical problem-solving ability and teamwork in an injection moulding environment.
Good German language skills in spoken and written form for effective communication, documentation and coordination in the production area.
