Who are we?
The Fribourg Mental Health Network (RFSM) is attached to the Directorate of Health and Social Affairs (DSAS). The RFSM is a centre of medical, nursing and psychosocial expertise specialised in mental health.
The Fribourg Mental Health Network (RFSM) is responsible for outpatient, semi-inpatient and inpatient psychiatric care for the 330,000 inhabitants of the bilingual canton of Fribourg. It also provides psychiatric consultation and liaison services in the canton’s somatic hospitals. Postgraduate medical training positions are open both to colleagues wishing to become specialist doctors and to colleagues from somatic disciplines. French-speaking and German-speaking colleagues may be considered.
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Sector is expanding its care offerings and strengthening integrated care for psychiatric patients across 2 sites in the canton. It adapts its services to the population’s needs, notably through specialised programmes, clinical research and integration of the medical master’s degree with the University of Fribourg.

Your tasks
For the child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy sector, in hospital, semi-hospital or outpatient settings:
Your area of activity:
- Care and treatment of patients assigned to your unit under the direction of Dr Laurent Holzer, medical director, and the respective care chain manager
- Coordination and monitoring of treatment stages in the interdisciplinary setting
- Participation in the institution’s on-call service

Desired profile
- Swiss medical diploma or equivalent qualification (MEBEKO recognition)
- Willingness to positively engage in the functioning of the RFSM and uphold its values ( https://www.rfsm.ch/vous-etes-patient-e-ou-un-proche/notre-charte-ethique )
- Very good knowledge of French or German (C1), good knowledge of the other cantonal language desired
