For the TORMAX division, we are seeking an experienced and analytically minded individual in Research and Development as
Embedded Electronics Development Engineer (m/f)
Your tasks
- Development of complex hardware for embedded systems (including specifications, circuit concept, schematic, layout, component design, testing, documentation)
- Development and design of electronics for motor controllers (power stages, gate drivers, current and voltage measurement, protection circuits, EMC-compliant design)
- Definition of system architecture and its requirements considering functional safety
- Management of subprojects in the electronics area
- Support of the project manager in planning, implementation, and coordination in the electronics department
- Creation of circuit concepts and functional prototypes
- Preparation of manufacturing documents such as schematics, parts lists, and PCB layouts
- Management and maintenance of electronic assemblies in the ERP system
- Creation of test equipment and execution of tests
- Collaboration with electronics suppliers and external certification bodies
Your qualifications
- Electrical engineer, physicist, or comparable degree (M.Sc. ETH/TU) with experience in electronic circuit development
- Several years of experience in embedded systems development
- Very good knowledge in the development of electronic circuits
- Experience in laying out complex PCBs and good knowledge of EMC-compliant circuit and layout design
- Good SAP and ECAD knowledge, ideally Altium Designer
- Very good knowledge of functional safety
- Experience in mechatronics, drive technology, and power electronics
- Conceptual and analytical thinking at the system level
- Enjoyment of a broad range of tasks and activities
- Independent, reliable, structured, and goal-oriented working style
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
