As a Junior Financial Accountant, you support our finance activities in Switzerland and work closely with an experienced colleague. Together you ensure that the daily financial processes function reliably, efficiently and on time. At the same time, you are in exchange with the international finance teams of our group companies. You can expect a varied role with short decision-making paths, direct communication and a high degree of personal responsibility.
What you can achieve
- Preparation and execution of payment runs as well as monitoring of outstanding supplier invoices
- Processing of creditor invoices and expense reports
- Handling and reconciliation of intercompany transactions between group companies
- Creation and posting of journal entries, invoices, receipts and payments
- Support with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and independent resolution of discrepancies
- Support in accounts payable and general ledger areas
- Ensuring correct and complete documentation of accounting records
- Support during internal and external audits and provision of required documents
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, processes and policies
- Completed commercial training (EFZ) or equivalent qualification; further training in finance & accounting is an advantage
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with experience in accounts payable and general accounting
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Good German and English skills, spoken and written (at least B2)
- Strong numerical understanding and a careful, structured way of working
- Independent and reliable personality with enjoyment of teamwork
- Organisational talent and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and keep deadlines in view
- Interest in an international environment and working with different cultures
- After training, the possibility to work one day per week from home
