As Lead Software Architect within the Global IT Architecture team, you drive the design and governance of software architectures for the Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) programme - a strategic initiative to harmonise the bank’s client lifecycle operating model.
You establish and enforce architectural standards, ensuring alignment across development teams while enabling scalable, secure, and resilient solutions throughout the client journey, from prospecting to offboarding.
IHRE AUFGABEN

Define and govern software architecture principles, patterns, and standards for CLM

Author and drive adoption of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), aligning with enterprise and domain architecture boards

Standardise tooling, libraries, and development practices across teams; promote reuse and consistency

Coach and guide software engineers and Tech Leads on solution designs, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance

Champion observability, logging, and DevOps best practices across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments

Collaborate closely with product teams, Application Owners, and global architecture forums to shape target state designs

Contribute to the global Domain Architecture Board, reviewing blueprints and advancing unified architectural direction
YOUR PROFILE
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

5+ years as a Software Architect, plus 5+ years in senior/lead engineering roles
-
Proven track record owning end-to-end software architecture; design, implementation, and operations

Strong grasp of modern architectural styles: microservices, event-driven systems, modular monoliths

Expertise in integration patterns, Kafka, data streaming, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud platforms

Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., banking); familiarity with KYC, onboarding, or client data management is advantageous

Knowledge of SAFe/agile delivery models and the role of architecture within them

Excellent communicator with strong facilitation skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset

Fluent in English, with good knowledge in German
