We are looking for a:
Mechanic
Your role
You will take part in the maintenance of over 600 kilometres of infrastructure within our network. Specifically, you will carry out assembly, commissioning of new gas infrastructures, and maintenance of our mechanical equipment. You will support the objective of the Network department, at the heart of Gaznat’s mission: to ensure a safe and sustainable supply for Western Switzerland.
Your daily routine will be driven by several key tasks:
- Maintain the mechanical equipment fleet across the entire Gaznat transport network;
- Carry out corrective maintenance interventions;
- Participate in the on-call service;
- Take part in infrastructure refurbishment projects, including design, planning, and implementation phases;
- Perform assembly and commissioning of stations, including mechanical parts assembly and handling operations;
- Participate in equipment management (intervention, tooling, order preparation, stock management, etc.).

What we are looking for (and why):
- Several years of professional experience in assembly, commissioning, or maintenance, to quickly become autonomous in the various tasks entrusted to you.
- A confirmed qualification (CFC, equivalent) in the field of mechanics (construction machine mechanic, agricultural mechanic, multi-skilled mechanic, etc.) to have solid technical foundations to work on our installations.
- Good knowledge of general mechanics, ideally complemented by knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as a strong interest in technology and its development.
- A sense of responsibility, organisation, rigour, and initiative, to plan and follow priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A strong team spirit and flexibility, as well as the ability to work independently, with flexibility and ease in collaboration, especially during larger interventions or projects.
- Good oral knowledge of English or German, to communicate with non-French-speaking external service providers.
- A driving licence, as our infrastructures are spread across Western Switzerland.
- Residence within a 30-minute radius of our Aigle monitoring centre, to participate in the on-call service.
