ABOUT THE PROJECT "FOOTBALL FOR LIFE"
"Football for Life" is an integrative sports and education project that sustainably improves the opportunities for children in grades 3-6 (Cycle 2) – especially girls. Through a combination of weekly language- and value-oriented football training and biannual cultural excursions, the project strengthens movement behaviour, joy and confidence in speaking, as well as the personal development of the participating children. The enthusiasm for football serves as a vehicle to playfully promote language and personality. The weekly sessions, which take place at the participating schools, are led by an interdisciplinary team of trainee teachers and coaches from local clubs.
