With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics is a medical center focused on the elderly and is composed of 6 services spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care.
The Memory Center is located in Cluse-Roseraie and addresses the multiple challenges posed by memory disorders. It offers diagnosis based on state-of-the-art techniques, multidisciplinary care, and individualized therapies. Patients can participate in research projects and test new medications.
Job Description
Do you want to contribute to the advancement of research on Alzheimer’s disease? Do you want to collaborate with renowned specialists in this field?
The Memory Center is looking for a neuropsychologist to participate in the implementation of a dementia and Alzheimer’s disease prevention program.
This project is funded by the Department of Health and Mobility (DSM) as part of their health promotion and prevention program.
As part of your activity, you are responsible for outpatient neuropsychological assessments for diagnostic purposes and follow-up evaluations with adult patients, ensuring the quality of services.
You also have a role as an interface and information transmitter as well as providing advice to patients and their relatives on therapeutic options.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree and a MAS in psychology or are currently training for a specialization title in neuropsychology. The FSP specialist title in neuropsychology is an asset.
You already have in-depth theoretical knowledge in cognitive psychopathology and cognitive aging as well as prior clinical experience. You have an interest in working with elderly patients.
Experience in psycho-educational approaches, cognitive remediation, and somatic settings is an asset.
Your strong stress management skills allow you to handle complex clinical situations effectively and proactively.
Thanks to your excellent communication skills, you collaborate with various professional groups in medical and care teams and actively participate in interdisciplinary discussions.
You are methodical, autonomous, and possess good organizational, synthesis, and priority management skills.
You also have a good knowledge of the French language, with level C1 required for non-French speakers. Any additional language spoken fluently besides French is an asset.
