Head Caretaker School Facility Glärnisch, 100%

Your areas of responsibility include

• professional and personnel management of the maintenance team of the Glärnisch school facility (subordinate caretakers, maintenance specialists, and cleaning staff)
• responsibility for the preservation, maintenance, and cleaning of the assigned properties and sports halls
• supervising, operating, monitoring, and controlling the entire technical infrastructure such as locking systems, lifts, ventilation/heating systems
• supporting, providing technical assistance, and helping with school, sports, and cultural events or occasions
• ensuring operational safety, fire protection, and accident prevention throughout the entire site
• acceptance and handover of event rooms as well as coordination of external room users
• support with construction projects of the assigned school unit
• administrative tasks such as obtaining and comparing craftsman quotes, reporting, material procurement, and invoice checks
• coordination and assistance with outdoor maintenance as well as ensuring winter services
• taking over mutual representation within the school units
• willingness for regular evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts

Your profile

• a completed vocational training with a federal certificate as a caretaker
• several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable role
• solid manual skills and broad technical understanding (building control technology)
• very good knowledge of safety matters (occupational safety, fire protection)
• independence, flexibility, and a sense of responsibility
• strong social skills, impeccable manners, and a high service orientation
• experience working with diverse stakeholders in the school, sports, and cultural environment
• organisational talent with the ability to maintain an overview and plan proactively
• very good oral and written German skills
• good IT user skills (MS Office programmes, CAFM tool Campos)
• driving licence category B
