We are a modern police force, in which 85 employees ensure safety and order. The Operations and Command specialist service within the Special Services department is the hub of the Cantonal Emergency Call Centre for emergencies and operations in the canton of Glarus. Here, the team works with a modern operations management system at a technically well-equipped workstation with over 30 auxiliary systems and handles all incoming emergency calls related to accidents, natural events, disputes, and any enquiries from the public.

To complement our team, we are looking for a

Operations Manager Emergency Call Centre Cantonal Police 100 %

from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement, based in Glarus.

Tasks

• First operations manager in the cantonal emergency call centre
• Receiving all emergency calls, processing them, and alerting partner organisations
• Supporting partner organisations within the corps and the canton such as fire brigade, ambulance, etc.
• Data maintenance in the operations management system as well as administrative processing
• Working in day and shift service

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in the blue light sector
• Federal specialist certificate as a police officer is an advantage
• Resilient, decisive and confident personality with high social competence
• Enjoyment in using technical aids and a strong willingness to learn new technologies
• Impeccable reputation and flawless character
