Shaping Urban Mobility

For a growing city in the Greater Zurich area, we are looking for a specialist with a higher education in traffic planning, spatial planning, civil/structural engineering or traffic engineering and several years of experience in the field of traffic, mobility or infrastructure.

The role combines professional planning with project management and coordination. The focus is on demanding projects at the interface of traffic, mobility, infrastructure and urban development. A background as a civil engineer with a corresponding relation to traffic and infrastructure is also interesting for this position.

You will develop solution approaches, accompany projects through various phases and bring internal departments, external planners and other stakeholders together in a targeted manner. The position offers a great deal of independence and the opportunity to help shape the future development of the urban traffic space.

Your responsibilities

• Management of diverse projects and ensuring targeted implementation
• Coordination of external planning and engineering offices
• Alignment with internal specialist departments, authorities and other project partners
• Bringing the traffic perspective into interdisciplinary projects
• Representing the city’s interests towards external stakeholders
• Contributing to overarching issues of traffic and urban development

Your skills

• Several years of professional experience in traffic or mobility planning, infrastructure or a comparable environment
• Experience in independently leading and managing demanding projects
• Experience in coordinating internal specialist departments as well as external planning and engineering offices
• Experience in dealing with authorities and other project partners
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Good IT user skills; CAD experience is an advantage
