Assistant Public Prosecutor 100%The Public Prosecutor's Office I of the Canton of Zurich conducts canton-wide criminal investigations against adults in the area of serious violent crime.
We are looking for your support as an Assistant Public Prosecutor (100%) to complement our team, starting immediately or by arrangement.
These are your tasks:
- Conducting criminal investigations within the jurisdiction of Public Prosecutor's Office I (in particular capital crimes, qualified sexual offences, child protection cases, especially demanding cases of domestic violence), including tactical cooperation with the police as well as preparation and conduct of interrogations
- Drafting and issuing orders and decisions on case closure (penal order, non-prosecution, dismissal) as well as drafting indictments
- Representing cases before district courts under the supervision of a public prosecutor
- Participation in on-call duties under the guidance of a public prosecutor
What you bring:
- Completed law degree (licentiate/master) as well as practical experience as an auditor, ideally at a criminal investigation authority and a court
- Lawyer's licence or equivalent additional qualification
- Strong analytical skills and structured approach for precise recording, assessment and preparation of facts
- High commitment and resilience, focused and efficient work even under pressure
- Confident appearance and integrity, discreet behaviour towards parties involved and interface partners
- Strong sense of responsibility and a solid basic understanding of various areas of law
