Fields of Work – Examples
Having already worked as a bank carpenter and CNC machinist at Marobag, I am now a CNC programmer, the link between planning and production. It’s not just about programming; you are constantly finding new, better solutions – for example, with fittings. And you definitely need a good imagination. Machines, the technical and mechanical aspects, have always fascinated me. I was also involved in the acquisition of our latest masterpiece from Biesse, which is truly a unique CNC machine, so many possibilities and yet so compact. I look forward to working on it! Mike, CNC Programmer
I have been working in planning for about 15 years. We receive the project details from sales and then create the execution plans. I have direct contact with the site managers and architects, sometimes also with the general contractors. Some of these are long-standing partnerships! And for new and complex projects, we also exchange ideas internally with production and assembly to find an optimal solution. My specialty is doors; as a layperson, one cannot imagine how complex that can become. With my work, I lay the foundation for how the project continues: with measurements, detail drawings, and ongoing work support, I have a great responsibility. This mix of, let’s say: precision and sociability, is exactly my thing! Christoph, Planning Project Manager
After various positions in Germany and Switzerland, we are now also dyed-in-the-wool Marobag people! We work as bank carpenters in an industrial company; that must be clear and one must like it. We enjoy being able to work cleanly and with a high quality standard while also being quite independent. Additionally, Marobag has a wide range: besides the original products curtain boards and sills, we also manufacture doors and cabinets, stair railings, basement partitions, balcony reductions, and so on. We have already experienced various joineries: Marobag stands for safety and stability. And above all: it’s a great team, truly bonded. We help each other, and we also make a joke now and then! Michael and Syrco, Bank Carpenters
The first thing that comes to mind about my job is that I am my own boss. Of course, I receive a new construction site and a time frame from our assembly manager and then drive there with my assembly vehicle to install curtain boards, cabinets, or whatever. My vehicle has been specifically set up for me by our workshop. Most of the time, I install a larger series in a residential complex or in schools or hospitals or office buildings. How I accomplish this, I have great flexibility – also in terms of time. Of course, it is physically demanding, but once you are trained, you can make a good cut with piecework and earn significantly above the base salary. And I have some colleagues who have been Marobag assemblers for ten, some even for thirty years! Daniel, Assembler
Selling at Marobag is not limited to answering tenders. It is important to network well in the industry and always stay up to date; innovative solutions are always needed. The product range is also quite broad, and regarding quality and efficiency, we have a good reputation in the Swiss market. When we exchange ideas as a team, it’s exciting how differently we function as individuals and how varied our approaches to solutions are – this is a great mutual enrichment! The company is also small enough that we can easily collaborate across departments and help out elsewhere if needed. Marcus, Sales Manager
