Controller mbA 80 - 100%The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zurich ensures a high-quality and safe healthcare provision.
The Finance Department in the General Secretariat is responsible for the financial management of the Directorate and accounting. It is also responsible for the area of individual premium reductions (IPV) and checks the correct use of allocated state contributions through state contribution audits.
For the department, we are looking for a Controller mbA from 1 October 2026.
Together with the Head of Controlling, you will take on the financial management of the Health Directorate and further develop controlling.
Your tasks
- Preparation of budget and financial plans in cooperation with the offices
- Support with the annual financial statements and preparation of the annual report
- Conducting analyses, business management assessment of results and development of financial decision-making bases
- Further development of stakeholder-appropriate reporting.
- Further development of the business partnering function for the various contacts in the Health Directorate
- Preparation of proposals for the Directorate management and the Government Council and preparation of financial matters for the parliamentary commissions.
- Management and further development of a cost and performance accounting (KLR)
- Participation in the digitalisation and standardisation of the controlling area.
- Collaboration on other projects and support of management in various controlling topics
Your profile
You have a university degree in finance or a comparable qualification and bring several years of experience in controlling. You are accustomed to dealing with contacts at various levels. We are looking for a committed and team-oriented personality with a high sense of responsibility and a very independent and results-oriented working style. Experience with the financial processes of an administration as well as good SAP knowledge are a plus but not essential. More important to us are your interest in the further development of healthcare provision, your enthusiasm for challenges, and your analytical and conceptual skills, which you combine with implementation strength.
