Job description
The Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva is offering a 100% assistant position in the law of obligations, within the Department of Civil Law (from 1st January 2026 or date to be agreed). The job description includes teaching tasks (student reception, grading exams and written assignments, etc.), as well as research, lecturing and support for the organization of scientific events. The hired person will be integrated into the law of obligations team ( https://www.unige.ch/droit/obligations ') ).The assistant has 50% of the activity rate for the preparation of a doctoral thesis.
Title and required skills
Master’s degree in law from a Swiss university, with a good overall average.Master’s students in law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva may also apply, provided they have already obtained 240 ECTS credits and their diploma thesis is about to be completed.
Good knowledge of German is desired.

Additional information
The candidate will be hired on a two-year contract which may be renewed for two successive periods, respectively of two years and one year. The maximum duration of the assistant position is five years.
