How you contribute:

• In this key position, you lead the newly created Thermal Engineering department with the three teams Plants, Heat Networks and Heat Connections and further develop it technically, organisationally and personally.
• Your focus is on the realisation of plants and networks in existing and newly to be created district heating networks. The conclusion is the handover after successful commissioning to the specialists in operations.
• You develop the technical expertise in the field of pipeline-bound heat further and ensure the technical quality in the planning and realisation of heat networks, heat grids and energy plants.
• You take responsibility for the long-term planning and further development of our heat networks and energy plants and translate strategic decisions into concrete solutions.
• You manage the collaboration with planners, executing companies, authorities and other stakeholders and ensure high quality in implementation.
• You further develop standards and processes and ensure efficient collaboration within the department as well as with adjacent areas.

What you bring:

• You have a completed degree in thermal engineering, energy technology, mechanical engineering or a comparable field (FH, University/ETH).
• You convince with several years of experience in the construction or planning of district heating networks, heat networks or comparable infrastructure (for example as a project manager in the field of district heating).
• You bring several years of leadership experience (ideally over two levels) and know how to lead, develop and bring together different teams and personalities.
• You have a pronounced analytical and strategic thinking and can translate complex issues into pragmatic, implementable solutions.
• You communicate confidently and reliably and have experience in working with authorities, public bodies and external partners.
• You are an empathetic, resilient and implementation-strong personality who also provides orientation, sets priorities and takes responsibility in demanding situations.
