About the job
Head of Network / Executive Board Member (m/f)
Our client is a traditional yet forward-looking utility company in one of the most renowned tourist destinations in Switzerland. It ensures the reliable electricity supply of a vast alpine region and operates a sophisticated network infrastructure from high to low voltage levels.
Own hydropower plants and a strongly regionally anchored energy production as well as innovative solutions in the fields of heating, photovoltaics, electromobility and intelligent energy systems characterise the company.
For this entrepreneurial and technically significant key position, we are looking for an experienced and communicative leader who will manage the network division and actively shape the future of the company as a member of the executive board.
Your new role
- You are responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the electricity network from the substation to the house connection as well as for control technology, metering and sovereign tasks.
- You lead four departments with a total of around 25 employees, further develop the network division and ensure a high-performance and future-proof organisation.
- You develop the network strategy taking into account the energy transition, digitalisation and decentralisation and implement it with your team.
- You actively participate in significant future projects such as data centres, battery storage, alpine PVAs and voltage conversions.
- You coordinate and manage external partners who systematically support your division in fulfilling its tasks.
- You promote a positive corporate culture and actively help shape the strategy as an executive board member in the tension field of supply security, economic efficiency and sustainability.
What distinguishes you
- An electrical or energy engineering education or a master craftsman’s certificate forms your professional foundation, which you have supplemented with business management skills.
- You have gained solid professional experience in the energy sector, for example at a utility company, a network company or an engineering or infrastructure company, ideally in a comparable position.
- You are used to leading larger teams clearly, accessibly and solution-oriented, promote the personal responsibility of your employees and create a motivating working environment.
- You appreciate simple structures and feel at home in an SME environment.
- As a pragmatic and practice-oriented doer with good communication skills, you fit well into the company.
- You understand the interrelationships of a modern utility company and are interested not only in network topics but also in economic, digital, regulatory and entrepreneurial issues.
Our attractive offer
- As a sports enthusiast and nature lover, you benefit from the diverse leisure opportunities of an alpine tourist region in summer and winter.
- The ongoing digitalisation, increasing decentralisation and intensified market orientation in the energy sector offer you a multifaceted task.
- You can look forward to generous employment conditions with trust-based working hours, six to seven weeks’ holiday, an attractive salary with bonus, home office and very good social benefits.
- You will have great scope for design in significant network projects and the further development of regional energy supply.
- Become part of an established, successful and innovative company now – we look forward to hearing from you!
