Dispatcher / Freight Forwarding Clerk Truck Import/Export/Domestic

Initial Situation

Good dispatching is recognised by the fact that in the end everything is where it should be – even though something usually comes up in between.

For a well-coordinated and manageable team, we are looking for a personality who enjoys organising, thinking ahead and keeping an overview. You will take on transports in import, export and domestic sectors and ensure that orders turn into concrete journeys.

Tasks

• dispatching and organising transports in import, export and domestic sectors
• planning collections and deliveries and coordinating the vehicles
• assigning and supervising drivers and transport partners
• recording and processing transport orders and the associated documents
• monitoring ongoing transports and reacting to short-term changes
• communicating with customers, drivers, carriers and other partners
• searching for and finding solutions when a tour does not go exactly to plan

Requirements

• completed commercial training, ideally in freight forwarding or the transport industry
• experience in dispatching or international transport business
• good knowledge of import, export and domestic traffic
• independent, organised and solution-oriented way of working
• uncomplicated personality who likes to get involved and keep an overview

The team is small, manageable and well coordinated. Everyone knows each other here, speaks directly to one another and helps out when there is a fire to put out. You are not just a number in the dispatch office, but take responsibility for your transports and can decide many things yourself.
