About the job
With a small, motivated team and close to practice, the Agriculture Department implements agricultural law. Customer-oriented, we support agriculture and alpine farming and create favourable conditions. And we proactively tackle future challenges.
We are looking for a
Agriculture Specialist 80–100 %
from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement, based in Glarus.
The position is limited to one year. As part of a succession plan, subsequent transfer to a permanent position is conceivable.
Tasks
- Implementation of the project for regional biodiversity and landscape quality
- Further development of quality and sales promotion
- Strengthening the digitalised enforcement of direct payments
- Representation of the department in interdisciplinary topics (nature, environment, food safety, animal health, spatial development)
Requirements
- University or university of applied sciences degree in agronomy or a comparable field
- Strong interest in specialist topics and legal foundations in the field of agriculture
- Enjoyment of organisational and digital tasks
- Independent, reliable, communicative and team-oriented personality
